Ed started his career in advertising more than 25 years ago as an art director at Ketchum, Inc., Pittsburgh’s largest advertising agency at the time. At Ketchum, he was a go-to guy and, at one point or another, worked on almost every account in the agency, from consumer goods to business-to-business and Pennsylvania Tourism.
After Ketchum, Ed joined VanDine Humphrey, where he began to cultivate his now highly formed skills in and understanding of the health care and higher education markets. Having found his calling, Ed became executive director of design and creative strategy at Tal, Inc., where he developed comprehensive advertising and direct marketing campaigns for clients such as Mercy Hospital, St. Clair Hospital, Westminster College, Slippery Rock University, Penn State University, Presbyterian College, Saint Francis University and the University of Pittsburgh.
Most recently, Ed joins Pipitone Group from Barton Denmarsh & Esteban (BD&E), where he was responsible for the firm’s higher education efforts, creating award-winning work for clients including North Central College, Randolph-Macon College, La Roche College, Chatham College, Bethany College and Robert Morris University; and maintaining strong relationships formed years ago with Saint Francis University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
He has won numerous regional and national awards for his work with organizations in health care, and for the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium.
