PPG IdeaScapes Redesign

PPG knows that architects tend to search manufacturers’ websites to learn about commercial building products. So when it came time to redesign PPGIdeaScapes.com, PPG’s commercial construction market team’s website, product managers from PPG Architectural Glass, PPG Metal Coatings and PPG Architectural Finishes worked with Pipitone Group (PG) through its eight-step interactive development process to develop a highly visual, responsive, interactive hub for product and design information. In its first year, the new site saw over 70,000 unique visitors and generated a record-breaking number of sample order requests.

 

Structural Success

Pipitone Group proposed reorganizing the site and developed a new site map that included new product category landing pages to improve the site’s organic SEO and provide users with quicker, easier access to PPG’s most popular product offerings.

Designing Interactive, for Designers

Architects don’t have time to navigate through countless pages to find the information they need. PG implemented predictive search functionality, so users can find exactly what they need on the first try. The new site also featured responsive design to ensure optimal display and performance on any device.

A Content Catalog

The PPG IdeaScapes redesign also included enhanced product browsing, allowing users to peruse the site by product families, request samples, download data sheets and intelligent content recommendations throughout the site.
